How do I use the Capcut editing app for TikTok using D-Link Extender?

Nowadays, thousands of influencers on TikTok and Instagram have made fortunes with good editing and cinematography skills. With a good DSLR, we can shoot some amazing videos and then edit them in the Capcut editing app for TikTok using D-Link Extender. Capcut has been one of the most loved editing apps for influencers as it has provided the users with lots of free features, which make the video look cool.

Many of the top influencers have been using the Capcut app for a long time. Now, in this article, we will show you how to use the Capcut app using the D-Link extender. This basically means that you will learn how to extend your home’s Wi-Fi to your working computer, which you can use for editing your videos using Capcut.

So, to start with, you first need to make sure you have a working router at home. If you haven’t setup the router yet, then we recommend you follow the steps below. If you have already done it, then you can skip this part and check out how to connect the D-Link extender to the Wi-Fi.

Setup the Wi-Fi router

  • For this, you will have to connect your router to the power outlet first. Then wait for at least 2 minutes until it reboots.
  • Then, depending on your connection type, you will have to connect the Internet cable to your router. So, if you have an Ethernet cable, then connect it to the WAN port of the router. In case you have fiber optics, then connect them to the PON port of the router.
  • Once done, using your phone, computer, or MacBook, go to the Wi-Fi settings. There, you will find your router’s Wi-Fi SSID. Connect your phone or computer to that network. If you don’t see your router’s SSID, then reset the router first. You can do that by holding the reset button on it for around 10 seconds while it is connected to the power outlet.
  • So, once connected to the router’s SSID, open a browser and, into the URL or address bar, type your router’s default IP address or web address. Now different routers have different IP addresses, like Netgear and Tp Link have 192.168.1.1, Tenda has 192.168.0.1, Linksys also has 192.168.1.1, and D-Link routers have local.
  • As you type this into the URL and hit enter,. It will bring up the router’s login page. Follow the on screen instructions to complete the setup.
  • There, you will have to create an SSID and password for your router. Kindly make sure you note this information down, as we will need it during D-Link Extender setup.
  • Once you save the settings on the router, it will take around 120 seconds for it to come up in your Wi-Fi list. Then you will be able to connect your phone, PC, gaming console, security camera, etc. to the router.

Connect router to the D-Link Extender

  • To set up the extender, we will need the router’s SSID and password.
  • So, first and foremost, plug the extender into a wall outlet near your router.
  • Wait for at least 2 minutes until you see a power led on it to get stable.
  • Next, using your cell phone or laptop, go to the Wi-Fi settings. There,  you will find the D-Link extender default name showing up. It will come up as “D-Link_Extender_XXX.”  Tap on it to connect to it.
  • Once connected, open any browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc. Now into the URL or address bar, type http //192.168.0.50 and then hit enter.
  • On the login screen of the extender, follow the on screen instructions to complete the setup.
  • Once it asks you to choose the SSID for 2.4GHz and 5GHz, then select your router’s Wi-Fi name and type its password for verification.
  • After you apply settings, you will be able to see the new D-Link Extender’s Wi-Fi  name in your Wi-Fi list on your phones or computers.
  • So, you need to simply connect your devices to this network to use it.
  • Moreover, we recommend you place the extender halfway between the router and the location where your editing computer is placed.
